PESHAWAR MAY 13: Mother ANP chief Asfandyar Wali Khan, Begum Naseem Khan has blamed her son for the failure of the ANP in the elections.
Begum Nasim Wali said that her son did not know the “ABC of Politics,” adding that they should have boycotted the elections due to terrorism. She also attributed the inclusion of Afrasyiab Khattak in the party as a major reason for defeat.
“Leaders were sitting in Islamabad while party workers were dying,” Begum Khan said.
The ANP which was the governing party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa suffered defeat at the hands of the PTI which gained majority in the province after the 2013 elections. The ANP also just secured one seat in the National Assembly.
